Journeys End

The illusions have been shattered
And dreams have grown old
Without being realised
And all that can be seen now
Is all that is real
You’ve seen my good side
And you’ve seen my bad
You’ve experienced my life
And you’ve come to understand
I was once a lonely man.

We’re at the journeys end
And the lights in your eyes
Haven’t even began to dim
You look at me and smile
Well we made it
And I don’t know how
Ah your sweet embrace
Sends shivers up my spine
As you’ve come to understand
That I am a loving man.

Time has brought about changes
That we thought weren’t possible
And we have adjusted to what is
But now we are here together
Having journeyed far on this road
Our minds are full of memories
Of good times we cherished and loved
And it feels so good to know
That you’ve come to understand
You’re in love with this man.

We’re at the journeys end
And many things have changed
A love once so fragile
Has grown to be so strong
My weakness has been your strength
Bringing out the best in each other
And the lights in your eyes
Don’t blind me like they used to
As I’ve come to understand
This man is in love with you.
