Where Is The Love?

by Kevin Sinclair

Well, here am I, lost and alone
No one is willing to take me home
Where are those people who say they share?
Ever since I was born it’s been the same
I’ve felt that everyone’s playing a game
Everyone wants the winner’s crown
And to knock the other fellow down.

Where is the love so often talked about?
It seems that so many people have doubts
About themselves that they refuse to see
Is there anyone among us who is free?

I have my hang ups, at times I can’t cope
Many times I’ve just lived on a hope
Maybe one day the light will shine
Maybe one day I will feel find
These days no one seems to believe
So many people these days try to relieve
Their frustrations by escaping from reality
Their life is just one big fantasy.

Where is the love so often talked about?
It seems that so many people have doubts
About themselves that they refuse to see
Is there anyone among us who is free?
