Whose Face Are You?
by Kevin Sinclair
Don’t know what the time is
Or where I am standing now
I’ve lost a day somewhere
Don’t know where it can be found
I drank my fill before the lights went out
And then there was no sound
I thought I’d lost my sight
All I’d lost was my dignity.
You’re a virgin she exclaimed
I just laughed in her face
I lost it somewhere one day
Don’t know where it can be found
Time fades, the nights grow long
I saw the singer, never heard the song
What you have lost
Can never be regained.
I smashed my fists into the wall
Screamed let me out of here
I’ve lost my direction
Don’t know where I will be found
I sang the melody but you never sang harmony
What was wrong with the song
I thought I’d lost my voice
All I’d lost was my pride.
I don’t know whose face you are
But I’ve seen you somewhere before
I can’t recall your name
Don’t know where it can be found
I was silently staring into your mirror
It came as a complete surprise
All I’d lost was my self-esteem.
